Lee is 1 month old today!

The plate says, "We've got new names-Grandma & Grandpa!"

Lee is 1 month old today. See the "1 MONTH" sticker on his little outfit?
Abby brought Lee to school today so the teachers could meet & hold him.
 Ahh, true love!!
Lisa made that cute banner with Lee's name spelled out
The thrilled Grandma!!! (in my office)

Babysitting Lee Today

Philip & Abby came over after church so we could babysit Lee while they went out for a lunch date. After they came back, they napped in our guest room and then stayed for dinner! :) We got to hold, feed, burp & change Lee for almost 7 hours. :)

Asleep on our couch with Brown Bear nearby
I love his tornado-shaped cowlick!
Today we asked the Great-Grandparents to meet near the sanctuary steps for a GRAND picture. Here is Lee with his beautiful parents and 6 Great-Grandparents! (And they are all Granadans!)

Baby Lee & Me

So fun to go over & help out with Lee!
Here he fits on my legs, but I know he won't for long!
Snuggle-time with Grandma. :)
Isn't Lee tiny in the corner of Philip & Abby's loveseat?
I set out a few blankets & had fun taking a few photos today.
He is almost 3 weeks old here.
I got to give him a bottle & change him twice while Abby
rested & did things around the house.
Time for a change! He's 6 lb. 14 oz. here.

Off-Roading in Anza-Borrego & font's Point

We left our casita and went off-roading with Lynn and John to Anza-Borrego.
We drove past the Salton Sea (which had a lot of water in it) and then entered
the National Park (?) area.

Here we are at the point. You can see the Badlands behind us.
The mountain in the distance is in Mexico.
These are called Badlands for a reason!
Nothing grows here!
Then we went to the visitor's center.
Lynn and the barrel cactus!
I love the shades of colors present in a desert.
And the clouds made it even prettier
Wow- we almost lost John at Font's Point!!!

Our Easter Break in La Quinta Resrot & Spa

We got an amazing deal at La Quinta Resort and Spa (through Priceline) and then were upgraded. :)
Here's our room, with the pool below. The resort has 41 pools, one for every courtyard.
Our private patio from our front door

Newport Ferrari has a car there to tempt the guests. It's only $260K!
The grounds are beautiful! Lots of waterfalls and fountains
Love this!
Our favorite meal was here at the Adobe Grill above the gardens.
We had a chicken tostada, but it was made with cabbage and cilantro dressing. Yum!
Our view from the table
These are the original casitas built in 1926.
Kirk really enjoyed looking at these start lights in the trees.
On the way home, we met up with Lynn and John and had "Comfort food" at the Farm House in Banning. Lynn broke her right pinkie and has to have surgery on the tendons. :(
Crazy rain on the way home!
(More on our off-road excursion tomorrow)
