Maui Part 4-Hana

After driving "The Road to Hana" which is 52 miles, 617 curves & has 56 one-lane bridges, we found our Ekena B&B high on a hill above Hana. Here are some pictures along the way.
Our first stop was to watch these wind surfers zip along!

Keanae Pennisula has the most beautiful waves crashing against a lava coastline.

My morning cup of coffee on the porch of our B&B (Jasmine suite)
 Pancakes--comin' up!
 Hamoa Beach in Hana

Our B&B. We stayed, basically, in the center section.
Our unit was 1800  square feet with 2 master suites.

We had delicious Thai food at a tent/restaurant (Panee's Thai Food) in Hana Town.
Here I am enjoying the Thai tea with condensed milk added. Yum!
What is it about guys and caves??!!
 Black Sand Beach
Oheo Gulch (or Seven Sacred Pools)
Free apple bananas and mangoes!!! SOOOOOOOO sweet and delicious!
We dressed up for our last night and took a few "group" shots.
We had a wonderful time and are so grateful that we could go. :)

Maui Part 3-Napili Sunset

Our condo in Napili (Napili Sunset) was just a few feet from the water, so John could snorkel whenever he wanted!

The waves and trade winds made a constant sound day and night!

A walk along the rocky path around Napili Bay

Waiting for our burgers in Cheeseburger in P-a-r-a-d-i-s-e in Lahaina
The view from the window near us. Yes, the waves crash under the restaurant!
Mmmmmmm, worth waiting for! California burger with pineapple and avocado

 Shopping in Lahaina Town
This is a Rembrandt etching from 1633! It's only $400, 000.00. So cool to be able to look at it closely. It was called The Descent of Jesus from the Cross and had so many details. The Harte Art Gallery/store had 4 other smaller Rembrandts, a Durer and 3 Picassos.
Kirk and I enjoyed eating breakfast at the Sea House in Napili Bay.

I got to stop by and see Ed's cousin, who lives in Napili.

Sittin' under the cabana in Napili Bay
Getting ready for our Teralani Sunset Dinner Sail. :)
We sailed from Kaanapali up to Kapalua Bay (the next bay over) and had our dinner there.
We had a lovely fish, chicken, rice, salad, etc. dinner on this catamaran.

Can you tell I love sunsets?????!!!!!

Maui on Dwellable

Kauai Part 2-Pali Ke Lua in Princeville

We have stayed at this complex twice before, but got a 2-story 2-bedroom unit this time,
since we were traveling with friends.
Looking out from the living room
Our view from the dinner table

 Our upstairs bedroom
 So many beautiful flowers!

 Front row for sunsets!!!

We visited the Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens where they have many bronze
sculptures throughout the gardens.

The Hanalei Valley is a quilt of taro fields
The beach below our condo where Kirk & John snorkeled (& I took pictures)

Kirk & John swimming in The Queen's Bath, near our condo.
The waves flow in behind them.
All dressed up ready for Kirk's birthday dinner at the Dolphin restaurant in Hanalei
Dear friends!
