We took scenic Hwy. 299 across from Mt Shasta and came upon this ghost town while looking for a place to picnic.
Love these vines all over the fence.

| Jeff and Eva (Kirk's high school buddy) took us to the Samoa Cookhouse for a fun "camp style" dinner. |
They showed us around Eureka and their home in Arcata.
It was nice to see where they live.

We took a mile hike around the Trinidad Headlands and enjoyed the local scenery. Here--crab pots!
